The MOC had a very successful weekend at the FQA cross-country championships in Sherbrooke. Our club reached the podium in three of the four races where we fielded a full team, and had a number of excellent individual performances.

It’s go time. Not quite full-on show time, but at least at the conference championships we know that most teams will have their best line-ups lined up, looking to show their respective athletics departments how competitive they can be within their geographically defined units.

There are some very interesting battles looming at both the OUA and CIS championships. We’ve seen something from almost all of the teams, except of course the folks out west.
Saturday at the Metro Toronto Zoo, some of the top road runners in Canada will vy for the titles of men’s and women’s 10k national champion.

What a year! I guess the year is not quite over yet, but we’ve taken our post-track season break, with a couple of exceptions for folks who are rolling through some marathon training, or who got a late start on the season and are looking for one last performance at the 5k Endurance in a couple of weeks.
With various provincial high school track championships taking place across the country these past couple of weekends, it seemed an appropriate time to consider how we are doing in terms of developing these youngsters into senior level talent.
