Fit enought to outrun a jungle pig

This part of the year for most is back to the grind, increase volume and decrease intensity a bit. It is nice to finally get in some quality work in the last two weeks. However, outdoor season for me is coming up quickly. First race in two weeks were I will open up with a 3000m steeple, yes steeple. I have decided to try the steeple again, but with actually doing some hurdle work should make it easier to run. According to many the steeple could be my event, I’m still not sure about that, but it’s definitely worth a try. After two weeks of doing hurdle work, I’m really starting to see a great deal of progress which is encouraging.

This week has been really frustrating because of all the crazy weather the people back home have been having, I was super jealous. I would take 20 degrees and sun over 2 degree and snow which is what we got all last week. Doing workouts on the outdoor track in snow and cold is not fun, but it does build characters. I feel so fit right now that I could outrun a jungle pig. I know what you are thinking impossible, nobody can outrun a jungle pig that is just how I roll out running jungle pigs is part of my game.

Yesterday, had my first blood draw ever, it’s hard to believe that I have never had one before, so next week, we will know what going on in there and if all of ok. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with me but you never know, in some way I kind of want to have a problem, cause if I can run this way with a problem imagine what I could run if I fixed that problem. I just can’t wait for school to be over 6 weeks to go until the end of school that is exciting news it is going to go by quickly with all the school work and racing I will be doing in the next month.
