Big weekend in racing. Follow the links to see how your competition is doing…

En premier, quelques résultats international, pour donner un peu de perspective sur les performances domestiques…

Le 30e Cross Ouest-France à Le Mans a été gagné par le Kenyen Mike Kigen, qui a réussi le parcours de 9.1km en 25:05. Abdellatif Meftah était le premier français, en 3e, avec un temps de 25:45. Le course 4.9km femmes a été gagné par Wude Ayalew en 15:16.

Tania Jones from Canada won the women’s half marathon during the very hot Bermuda running weekend in Hamilton in a time of 1:28:55.

In the USA, Kara Goucher returned to racing after giving birth to her first child, finishing second in the Phoenix half marathon in a time of 1:14:02, while Molly Huddle, the American 5k record holder, won the 6k Bay Area Cross Challenge in 19:19.

Olesya Syreva won the regional indoor championship 1500 in Omsk, Russia with a 4:13.93.

On home soil, this weekend saw meets across the country.

In Atlantic Canada, Halifax hosted the Dalhousie Open while other took part in the Moncton Open.

Central Canada was represented by the Ottawa Dome Meet #2, the Vert et Or and
the Windsor Can Am Classic.

Out west, the Manitoba Grand Prix #3 went down this weekend, and a dual meet between University of Alberta and University of Calgary took place last weekend.

Also last weekend, rounding out the Canadian meets for 2011 so far, the Sharon Anderson Track Meet in Toronto, and the Dino Classic, a club meet in Alberta.
